We’re up to our neck in new kits.
With Euro 2016 rapidly becoming a distant memory, the days that have followed Sunday’s final in Paris have seen a multitude of clubs unveil their new strips. On Wednesday, Real Madrid and Barcelona were quick out the blocks in unveiling their latest offerings with more clubs set to follow in the week ahead.
Manchester United on the other hand, have not (at the time of writing, at least) officially revealed their latest home strip. That said, it seems pretty much everyone has already seen it.
There’s already been a string of internet leaks, showing a two tone half and half home shirt – said to be a tribute to the club’s Newton Heath beginnings.
The latest leak comes all the way from Hong Kong, where the city’s adidas store seemingly didn’t get the memo to keep the shirt under wraps for a little longer. The image – posted on Reddit – shows a large poster of Ashley Young modelling the new kit, which does indeed look just like the leaked images we’ve been seeing over the course of the last few weeks.
United will play a friendly against Wigan Athletic this week with Jose Mourinho scheduled to take his new team to China on their preseason tour the following week.
