The title race has been all over bar the shouting for some time now. It's been a foregone conclusion since Christmas.
They were runaway leaders for most of the season and won the league in style, blowing teams away with their intense and expansive brand of football. A lot has been made of the money spent by Pep Guardiola in acquiring this squad, but when you see the the numbers his team have hit this season, you can't argue with his coaching ability.
City beat Southampton 1-0 this afternoon thanks to a very late Gabriel Jesus goal, sparking wild celebrations in the away end. Pep Guardiola even sprinted down the touchline to celebrate. This might have seemed a bit over the top given the fact that they've already won the league, but this goal clinched seven more records to add to Manchester City's impressive season.
This win lifted City to 100 points, making them the first team to ever reach the milestone. They've also scored the most goals ever in a Premier League season, with 106, and have recorded the most wins in a Premier League season, with 32.
