Jović, meanwhile, has not enjoyed anything resembling form since joining Real Madrid from Benfica after a prolific loan spell at Eintracht Frankfurt.
In the limited chances he was afforded by Zinedine Zidane last season, he scored two goals in 27 appearances across all competitions, most of them off the bench - a stark contrast to the 27 goals in 48 games he bagged in the Bundesliga alongside Sebastian Haller.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has a good record of improving individual players at United, even if his tactics leave a lot to be desired, so a loan move for Jović could make sense for all parties involved.
