The Arsenal forward has rubbished the story on the backpage of today’s Daily Mirror.
The British tabloid ran a story claiming Lukas Podolski had a training ground bust-up yesterday. According to the Mirror, the German forward stormed out of the Arsenal’s training ground after a dispute over his transfer situation. The newspaper claimed Podolski was angered by a lack of playing time and felt a potential transfer to Inter Milan was been blocked by the club.
However, the forward, through a post on his Instagram account earlier today, strongly disputed the claims. ‘I find it incredible that newspapers are allowed to print pure lies to get people’s attention,’ he said. Podolski also said that he had not stormed off the training field yesterday, as he spent the entire session with the medical staff. ‘It seems it is ‘the Mirror’ who stormed to the keyboard too quickly’.
