FFS Ney.
We live in an age when you can’t do or experience anything without someone commemorating the fact for all eternity in the form of a close-up selfie shared with the rest of the world.
For most of us, no one but a select number of family and friends actually gives a flying proverbial. But if you happen to be a celebrity – and a Barcelona footballer in particular – millions crave every new portrait.
That’s the case for Brazilian ace Neymar, which is handy because he loves taking them. And fair play to him too – he’s a good looking chap and clearly knows it. Although perhaps his selfie addiction requires some form of intervention.
A quick look at the Brazilian’s Instagram account shows a *slight* narcissistic affliction…
Such is the popularity of his frontline partnership with both Lionel Messi and Luis Suarez that Neymar often likes to rope his pals into joint MSN selfies for thrice the interactions. You get the sense that both Messi and Suarez are appearing out of politeness than genuine enthusiasm…
But you can only push a reluctant model so far until the mask slips.
Neymar’s latest self-portrait was as immaculate as usual as far as he was concerned, looking very slick in his trendy sunglasses, but capturing a smiling Suarez proved less successful.
Instead he caught Suarez looking hilariously exasperated at his teammate’s unfailing vanity. It is a look we’ve all given to snap-happy mates who just need to give it a rest once in a while.
Something tells us it won’t deter the less than bashful Brazilian…
