Louis van Gaal isn’t a man who you’d imagine gives a flying saucer what anyone thinks of him.
The Manchester United manager is under pressure as he almost oversaw yet another 0-0 draw in tonight’s Champions League clash with CSKA Moscow.
However a Wayne Rooney goal spared his blushes and helped the club end their run of failing to score in 404 minutes before tonight and secure a 1-0 win.
Unusually the game was notable for a moment of pure frustration from the home side’s support when Anthony Martial was subbed off for Marouane Fellaini.
Not sure I've heard a substitution booed like that before at Old Trafford. Fellaini replaces Martial and almost mutinous response

However, speaking after the match the Dutchman was less than bothered about the booing around the stadium.
Van Gaal on the crowd's dissent. "I'm not deaf. Of course I heard. That's opinion of the fans but afterwards they shall not be disappointed"

Football of course is a results game but it seems that Manchester United fans want more than just three points, they want entertainment, and most crucially they want goals.
Something that is in short supply at the moment.
