Football Manager must be a hit with the French.

In one of the most surprising deadline day deals this summer, Manchester United splashed out a whopping €50m on unknown French teenager Anthony Martial.

Little is known about 19-year-old outside of his home country, but former Red Devil Louis Saha has revealed just how highly touted the youngster is in France.

“He’s got that speed, he’s got that power, he’s got that youth in him. He will surprise a lot of defenders because they don’t know him. It’s a great asset for Manchester United. That’s why they need it because up front, they maybe lack speed sometimes.”

According to Saha, the French have a name for young Tony Marshall because they reckon he has what it takes to be as good as a Premier League legend.

“In France, we call him the next Thierry Henry because he can play left or right, he’s got great ability with the ball, he can take on three or four players with ease, there is no problem2.

“At the same time he’s part of that new generation that have no fear.He has such ability that he can win trophies for Manchester United, I believe that. I don’t want to put too much pressure on him.”
