But a Brazilian completely took all the drama out of Liverpool’s end of season awards – the exact same way Leicester’s dominance ended up becoming boring.
Deserved, brilliant, sure. But boring.
Philippe Coutinho took four awards home as the Merseyside outfit honoured Jurgen Klopp’s finest in a season that won’t end until they take for Basel for the small matter of a Europa League final.
