Liverpool’s Brazilian target confirms that a deal is on the table and he wants to leave

It doesn’t seem like subtlety is Alex Teixeira’s strong suit.

Just a day after hinting very obviously that he’d love to be a Liverpool player by liking images of himself in the famous red shirt on Instagram, the Brazilian has verbalised his desire to make a deal happen.

The 26-year-old has been in stunning form this season, scoring 26 goals in 25 games this season in the Ukrainian league. Not surprisingly, he has his fair share of suitors with Liverpool heading the race.

Now Teixeira has made it clear that he wants to leave Shakhtar Donetsk in this transfer window – and that a major offer has indeed been made to acquire his services.

“I would like to move in this transfer window and have told Shakhtar that,” explained the player. “They have received a very good offer and they are working on a solution. But if I don’t go now then I will leave in the summer.”

It sounds like it’s very much a matter of when, rather than if.
