Liverpool were probably thinking they would struggle to shift Mario Balotelli this summer as it seems the Italian will leave the club after one less than successful season.

But according to today’s newspapers there is at least two options for Anfield chiefs to pursue if they want rid of him.

According to The Metro the MLS side Orlando City are looking to reunite Balotelli with former AC Milan midfielder Kaka, while its also being reported this morning by the Daily Express that Balotelli could be heading back to Serie A and Sampdoria.

What’s perhaps more surprising is the names of some of the players being linked with a move to Anfield. The former Manchester City presence on Liverpool’s infamous transfer committee is well known and it according to the Mirror their gazes are set on the Etihad and out-of-favour striker Stevan Jovetic.

Manchester United aren’t often turned down when they try to sign a big player, but it appears that Louis van Gaal may be frustrated in his attempts to sign a new striker this summer.

Mauro Icardi is one of a number of top targets for Old Trafford with a clear out expected of at least one if not two front line players, but his club Inter Milan are refusing to sell the 21-year-old.

According to the Daily Star, Manchester United and Arsenal have both been warned off the striker.

FC Internazionale Milano v Bologna FC - Serie A

Jose Mourinho has probably one of the best selection headaches you could have as manager. He has two of the best goalkeepers in the world but knows that he won’t be able to keep both men happy unless he has a definite number one.

That certainly looks like Thiabut Courtois so Petr Cech is likely to leave this summer but Jose is already thinking of finding his replacement and is looking across London.

According to the Daily Telegraph Jose still wants experienced cover  for his Belgian netminder and is eyeing up a move for 43-year-old Brad Friedel who’s warming the bench at Tottenham these days

Aston Villa v Everton - Premier League

The name Beckham could be back at United shortly. Brooklyn, son of David (as if you needed to be told that) is currently on the books at Arsenal but its strongly believed he’s going to be released by the club at the end of the season.

Old Trafford bosses can probably see the dollar signs already if they were to sign the teenager and according to today’s Daily Star there are plans in place already to offer him another chance at Carrington.Premiere Of New Line Cinema's And Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer Pictures' "If I Stay" - Red Carpet
