Piotr Zielinski has been linked with a move to Liverpool for the past few months.
The 22-year-old Udinese midfielder, who has spent the last two seasons on-loan at Empoli, was reportedly the subject of a £9.5m bid from the Merseyside club in June, and even spoke to Jurgen Klopp on the phone.
Zielinski is also wanted by AC Milan and Napoli and, according to his agent, the player has already decided where he will be playing next season.
“I met owner [Giampaolo] Pozzo and spoke to Udinese today. We know that many offers reached Udinese for Zielinski. We’re talking to Pozzo and the interested clubs,” Bartolomej Bolek told Gazzetta dello Sport.
“After the Euros, he went on vacation as he needed to rest after a long season. He will return to Udinese on July 22 or 23. It’s true [that Liverpool have been interested in the player] but I don’t like to talk about negotiations in the papers.
“We’ve decided [what his next club will be], but it’s a secret.”
However, according to reports on Merseyside, it’s an open secret that Zielinski will join Milan, and Klopp will turn his attention to other targets.
