Shane Long is going nowhere.
That’s according to Southampton manager Ronald Koeman who has insisted that none of his players were for sale in this transfer window.
Republic of Ireland international Long had been linked with a move to Liverpool as Jurgen Klopp aimed to bolster his striking options and with the Saints having signed Charlie Austin, many believed that the way was paved for Long’s departure.
“It is the same answer,” stated Koeman. “We have brought one player in (Charlie Austin) and nobody will go out and I’ll keep that until January 31.
Koeman dismisses speculation over @ShaneLong7‘s future, reiterating that nobody is for sale in January. #saintsfc https://t.co/gfkA35Igqk

“You know my answer. Nobody will go out. Maybe I have to repeat it 80 times more, but if you like it, I will do it.”
So that’s that then.
