White was interviewed after the draw at St Mary’s.
Ben White was criticised by Lee Dixon for his “over the top” reaction during a post-match interview on Sunday.
Arsenal dropped points for only the second time this season after drawing 1-1 away at Southampton.
Granit Xhaka gave the Gunners the lead but Stuart Armstrong equalised for the Saints in the 65th minute to ensure a share of the spoils.

The result means Arsenal still remain top of the Premier League – two points clear of second-placed Manchester City – and after the game White was on post-match interview duties, but was criticised for the way he handled it.
Speaking to Viaplay he said: “I think the first half was really good. We created loads of chances and we should have scored more. We should have probably put the game to bed in the first half and we didn’t.”
White was then asked why he felt Arsenal didn’t go on to win the game and said: “[We were] Sloppy in possession, didn’t win duels, the opposite to the first half and that’s why the game went the way it did. We’re only human… it’s tricky.”

The defender was then quizzed on providing the assist for Xhaka’s goal, to which he replied saying: “Obviously to be a part of it is amazing but it’s about the team and unfortunately we didn’t get the win today.”
However White’s reaction left former Arsenal defender Lee Dixon less than impressed.
“Wow, did they get beat 8-0? Yeah, that was a little bit over the top,” he said.
“He’s feeling what he’s feeling but I still think that this season, when you play like that in the second half, you’ve got to take it on the chin and go, ‘yeah, we didn’t play great, move on to the next one’. But he was very down there wasn’t he?”
Arsenal are back in Europa League action on Thursday night as they travel to the Netherlands to face PSV Eindhoven before taking on Nottingham Forest at the Emirates on Sunday.
