We’d like to be as passionate about anything as Gudmundur Benediktsson is about Iceland’s national team.
You may (definitely do) remember the incredibly animated Icelandic commentator and his amazing reaction to the counter-attacking goal that secured the team’s progress to the knockout stages of Euro 2016, their first European Championships.

Benediktsson, who unfortunately lost his day job as assistant manager of KR Reykjavik just two days ago, was able to put his professional troubles behind him on Monday night.
In fact, we’re pretty sure that it was the furthest thing from his mind as he witnessed his country claim a huge scalp by upsetting England by a scoreline of 2-1 to take their place in the Euro 2016 quarter-finals.
This is how Benediktsson reacted to Kolbeinn Sigthorsson’s decisive goal in the first half.

Imagine if they get to the semi-finals. We don’t think Benediktsson’s heart could hack it.
