Too much.
Leicester City’s pursuit of Robbie Brady appears to have reached an impasse after Norwich demanded upwards of £20 million for the Republic of Ireland international.
Brady is being chased by a host of Premier League clubs following his outstanding displays during the European Championships, but it is the Premier League champions who were thought to be winning the race.
But Norwich’s steep price tag – three times what they paid to sign the 24-year-old from Hull last year – has caused Leicester to end their pursuit of Brady and instead look at other targets.
Brady has two years left on his contract at Carrow Road and despite their relegation manager Alex Neil is under no pressure to sell his top players.
Whether Brady is interested in playing Championship football this season is another matter and it may well be that his desire to play in the top flight will see him move this summer.
