Madrid are going to sign Neymar out of spite, aren’t they?
Kylian Mbappe reportedly asked Paris Saint-Germain to sell Neymar and replace him with international teammate and Barcelona attacker Ousmane Dembele.
As reported by Spanish journalist Sergio Santos, the Frenchman asked the Parisians to ‘let Neymar go’, with the Ligue 1 champions now working to find a way to sell the Brazilian.
The report adds that Mbappe is keen for PSG to sign Dembele from Catalan giants Barcelona, with the 25-year-old’s contract expiring at the end of the season.
Mbappe has played alongside Neymar on 112 occasions – with the pair combining for 47 goals. However, the duo have endured somewhat of a complicated relationship during their time in Paris.

Mbappe previously called Neymar a ‘bum’
The former Monaco man previously admitted to calling teammate Neymar a “bum” in a furious rant. During the Parisians’ 2-0 win over Montpellier in September, Mbappe was seen moaning about Neymar after he had been substituted two minutes from full-time.
It appeared that the Frenchman was annoyed that his strike partner wasn’t passing to him – making his frustrations known to Idrissa Gueye, who had also been substituted.
Mbappe – who was speaking to L’Equipe – was asked whether he did in fact say the words, ‘This bum, he never passes to me!’
“Yes, yes, I said it,” he admitted. “Now these are things which happen all the time in football. It just needs to be something that doesn’t linger.”
He added: “Right after, given how it blew up, I spoke to him about it.
“We already had a few exchanges like that in the past and it will continue, because we want to win, but there shouldn’t be a certain resentment.
“There isn’t any here at all because I respect the player and the man, and I admire what he is.
“But that’s it, I wasn’t happy with a pass. One day it happened to me too, I didn’t pass it and he wasn’t happy. But there’s no issue.”
Mbappe signs new contract at PSG
The France forward has reportedly agreed a three-year deal in principle to stay in Paris, despite being heavily linked with a move to Real Madrid all year.
Mbappe had agreed a financial package with Madrid a number of months ago for a potential switch to LaLiga, but has opted against joining Carlo Ancelotti’s side.
It is thought that the deal is still to be signed but the Ligue 1 champions are likely to make an announcement around their final match of the season with Metz on Saturday night.
