Keane had a few death stares.
Gary Neville made an attempt to defend Manchester United’s players after their limp defeat to Manchester City on Wednesday night at Old Trafford. Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side fell to a 2-0 defeat against their so-called rivals. Bernardo Silva and Leroy Sane got the goals to return their team to the top of the Premier League table.
On Sky Sports following the game, Neville argued that the performance was the maximum one could expect from this United side.
“I think United played a decent game,” he said.
“I think that’s as good as United have got. That’s that team. What we saw there tonight between Manchester United and Manchester City was the gulf in class between the two teams.
“I don’t think I looked at any player United had on that pitch and thought they could have given more. They could have not made some mistakes, but that’s the best they’ve got”
However, Roy Keane refused to accept that the United players had gave their all on the pitch.
