Former AC Milan star Kaka has been selected for the Brazilian national team, with Roberto Firmino missing out.

This isn’t the first occasion in recent months that Kaka, who now plays for Orlando City in MLS, has gained an unexpected international call up at the expense of a Liverpool player.

France v Brazil - International Friendly

Last year he was chosen ahead of Philippe Coutinho (who has also made the latest squad) to face USA in a friendly. With Kaka playing his club football in America, it was dismissed as nothing more than a publicity stunt by many.

This time however, the 33-year-old has been included for World Cup qualifiers against Uruguay and Paraguay.

The likes of Neymar, David Luiz and Dani Alves are also involved.
