Kaka will think twice before he touches the face of an opposition player again.
The Brazilian is not exactly renowned for being a dirty player or one who engages in roughhousing, proven by the fact that he hadn’t seen a straight red card in his lengthy career prior to 2015.
But he was given his marching orders again on Saturday night, when he fell victim to the much-criticised Video Assistant Referee system.
After a late scuffle between the sides in Orlando City’s defeat to the New York Red Bulls in MLS, Kaka was shocked to see a red card flashed in his direction after the referee got a second look at the altercation.

Several players were booked for their roles in the coming-together but Kaka was sent packing, for getting a touch too handsy with his close friend.
Kaka, as well as former teammate Aurelien Collin, were pictured laughing together when the former Brazil international jokingly touched Collin’s face as they debated a decision by the referee.
The shared smiles will tell you that there was not one hint of aggression between the men and even though it’s clearly stated in the rules that players must not put their hands in each other’s faces, Kaka can surely feel hard done by here.
Collin even seemed to plead with the referee and explain that he and Kaka were buddies but the official was not going to be talked out of enforcing the rules.
