Jurgen Klopp is asking everyone to button it.
Well not everyone. But certainly anyone who thinks that just because he said something a long time ago, that it still applies to his style of playing football and what he does with his teams.
The German was famously once asked what was the difference in his coaching style and Arsene Wenger’s.
His response at the time has gone down in football history,
“He likes having the ball, playing football, passes. It’s like an orchestra. But it’s a silent song. But I like heavy metal more. I always want it loud.”
And it’s a sound bite that has followed the former Borussia Dortmund manager around for his whole career.
But this afternoon, speaking ahead of Liverpool’s Europa League encounter with Rubin Kazan, the Reds boss wanted to put the phrase to bed once and for all.
Klopp asked by Russian journalists about "heavy metal football." – His reply "Aaah… That's the problem with my life. Too many shit words!"

Awh, and we liked saying that in every article.
It was very popular after all.
