We always preferred George, but John was a close second.
Jurgen Klopp is saying all the right things in the lead-up to Liverpool’s Premier League clash with Manchester United.
The Reds boss is hoping his side can get back to winning ways in the league after they pushed Arsenal all the way for a 3-3 draw, on Wednesday.
The German faced the press this morning and
Klopp said, “Sunday is important for the table because we are close together. Both teams need the points. Derbies are the salt in the soup.”
Klopp had high praise for Manchester United’s current boss, and their most successful one. He added:
“I am not too close with the news about United. Van Gaal is one of the most successful managers in the world.”
On Ferguson, he declared:
Klopp: "I had really good moments with Sir Alex. It was an honour to talk with him. Maybe he's greatest ever – the John Lennon of football."

So there we have it – Klopp is a Fergie fan and John is his favourite Beatle.
Klopp also called on Liverpool fans to get behind the side in a boisterous a manner as they did on Wednesday. The atmosphere was enjoyable, he remarked, but he feels Sunday’s league tie could top it still.
