After also being knocked out of the group stages at the Qatar World Cup, there is a feeling that Flick’s position is close to becoming untenable and that Klopp would be the suitable candidate to replace the former Bayern Munich boss.
And according to Klopp’s agent, Marc Kosicke, a deal for that to happen may be on the horizon.
“Jurgen has a long-term contract with Liverpool,” Kosicke told
Bild. “And [Germany] has a national coach. So it’s not an issue for us at all.”

Back in 2020, Klopp also revealed when he would plan to walk away from his position at Anfield after signing a new deal. “Four years in Liverpool,” he said.
Since then, the Premier League title winner has committed to an extension which sees his contract expire in 2026 and has previously suggested that he would take a year-long sabbatical after his time at Liverpool comes to an end before deciding if he should return to management or retire for good.
