It seems almost a formality that Liverpool’s next manager will be Jurgen Klopp.
All signs point to the former Borussia Dortmund manager replacing Brendan Rodgers, but he remained coy about his future when speaking to German publication Bild.
Klopp remains in Germany but when asked about the Liverpool job, he gave little away.
“There’s nothing to say,” he told a reporter.
“Neither a definite yes nor a definite no. I’m going home now,” Klopp added before laughing and walking away.
The lack of a definite answer appears to suggest a move to England is close to being sealed.
Liverpool are expected to reach an agreement with Klopp before the close of the week, meaning he’d be in place to meet his new squad before they return to Premier League action.
