Simon Mignolet could be the first casualty of Jürgen Klopp’s Liverpool revolution, with the German coach reportedly lining up a bid for one of the world’s best goalkeepers.
Klopp’s compatriot Marc-André ter Stegen is thought to be a target for the former Dortmund boss, according to Spanish publication Fichajes.
Ter Stegen is Barcelona’s first-choice cup goalkeeper, but is thought to be keen on more league action, which Liverpool could promise.
The 23-year-old has played 31 times for Barcelona since joining from Borussia Monchengladbach in 2014, including last season’s Champions League final, but only four of those games have been in La Liga.

Mignolet has been a much maligned figure since joining Liverpool in 2013, but there has been a notable improvement in his form and consistency in the latter part of last season and the early stages of this.
Klopp insists that he’s happy to work with the players at his disposal at Anfield (though he could hardly say anything else) but it’s inevitable as his first transfer window approaches that a string of players are going to be linked with moves to Liverpool – especially ones Klopp is familiar with from the Bundesliga.
