We’re expecting Josh Tymon to be handed a major pay-rise sooner rather than later.
The teenager made his Premier League debut, and his fifth Tigers appearance, during Saturday’s 3-0 defeat at Sunderland.
But it has since emerged that Tymon is one of the lowest-paid players to ever grace the top-flight, with The Sun reporting that his scholar’s contract means he takes home less than £200 each week.
Josh Tymon made his Premier League debut for Hull today – yet earns £150 a week..think the club may need to review their pay structure…

Tymon burst onto the scene last season, making two FA Cup appearances including a 55-minute runout away at Arsenal in the fourth round of the competition.
What an atmosphere! Still in shock playing against a team like Arsenal! The dream continues… More to give #33 pic.twitter.com/BvEyUk72UZ

While Hull’s senior players are on Premier League wages, the club has been forced to blood more youth products than most after beginning the season with a threadbare squad.
Fellow youngsters Jarrod Bowen, Josh Clackstone, Greg Luer and Greg Olley have all featured in matchday squads for the newly-promoted side, who currently sit 18th in the table.
Tymon has been on the radar of clubs including Tottenham and Liverpool, according to reports, so one would expect him to earn considerably more when he puts pen to paper on a new deal, be it with Hull or another club.
And he was commended for an impressive Premier League debut, even if Mike Phelan’s side ended up taking nothing from the game.
Not a lot of cheer from a #hcafc point of view but hats off to Josh Tymon. A Premier League debut for his hometown club aged 17. Fair play.
