The ex-midfielder, who had been working as a pundit on BT Sport, signed a three-year deal with the Championship club on Wednesday to replace now-Stoke City manager Gary Rowett as boss.
One of the reasons Terry was released by Villa was his substantial wages, and it's been reported that he will have to take a large pay cut if he is to agree a deal with Derby, after the club's owner Mel Morris vowed to reduce the wage bill, which last season stood close to £35 million.
