Lincoln City have knocked Burnley out of the FA Cup, but all anyone’s talking about is the antics of the Premier League club.
Joey Barton is public enemy no. 1 after his display in the upset loss to the non-league outfit in the fifth round of the competition.
The controversial midfielder came under fire for his incredible attempt to get Matt Rhead sent off.
Barton committed two fouls in one fell swoop before arguing with the referee to flash a card. He stamped on the opposition’s foot, and when no reaction was sparked, he ran head-first into his extended arm trying to claim that he had been on the receiving end of a deliberate elbow.

However, Barton may not be the only Burnley player to get punished retrospectively.
Ashley Westwood could well have landed himself in trouble for a spitting incident. Cameras picked up the former Aston Villa midfielder appearing to spit in the direction of a Lincoln player while there was a minor scuffle.
Fortunately for the opposition player, the flying loogie missed him and landed safely on the turf.
