Jesse Lingard reveals who is the best trainer at Manchester United

This isn't a surprise

This isn’t a surprise.

Jesse Lingard has revealed who is the best trainer at Manchester United, and it’s an impressive accolade considering some of the players in the squad, particularly their centre forward.

Zlatan Ibrahimovic may be 35, but the big Swede is still a model professional and possibly the fittest 35-year-old to grace the Premier League.

With his goal against Leicester City, Zlatan became the oldest player in the division to ever score 15 goals in a season.

However, according to Jesse Lingard, Ibrahimovic isn’t the best trainer at United. That honour belongs to Ander Herrera.

“I think he gives 100 percent in everything he does,” Lingard told Four Four Two in a recent interview about his teammates.

United fans won’t be surprised to learn that Herrera is such a good trainer.

The Spanish midfielder has become a key player for the club this season.

His disciplined, determined and tactically intelligent performance against Liverpool at Anfield, in particular, showed his worth to the team and it’s clear he has the full trust of Jose Mourinho.

Herrera is the model professional, and it’s no wonder he works just as hard in training.

Lingard offered insight into some of his other teammates.

He said Paul Pogba is rarely, if ever, on time for anything, including training.

“Pogba. No matter what for, he’s always late. [But] always good vibes,” the United winger said.

Henrikh Mkhitaryan is, according to Lingard, always early for training.

Lingard says Ashley Young and Ibrahimovic use the gym the most, and that the Swedish striker is the worst loser and biggest moaner in the United squad.

“But if he wins, he’ll talk about it all day,” Lingard said.
