It was fun while it lasted, but it seems that Jamie Vardy’s postman lookalike has reached the end of his round.
To clarify, Lee Chapman is a postman that looks like Jamie Vardy, not someone that looks like Jamie Vardy’s postman.
Anyway, with Vardy firing Leicester to the unlikeliest of all Premier League title triumphs, 29-year-old Chapman, a lifelong fan of the club, found himself in the spotlight when he was invited on to the team’s bus as they celebrated their historic feat.

Donning a full Leicester kit and blue cast on his wrist, the picture of Chapman alongside Vardy quickly made waves on social media. Within days, Chapman’s Twitter account had been verified, he’d been signed up by a lookalike agency and he was taking six months off from his job as a postman to make the most of his new-found fame.

But according to reports, Vardy and his camp are far from happy with how things have panned out. The Leicester striker and his new wife, Rebekah Nicholson, have both blocked Chapman on Twitter.
A report in The Sun also claims that Vardy’s agent, concerned to protect his client’s squeaky-clean image, has contacted Chapman to warn him about endangering the England international’s image.
John Morris of Key Sports Management, told The Sun that he wished Chapman well for the future, but added: “If anything happens to anybody whether you are a sports person or a movie star you have to be protected.”
