There was some good news for the Sky Sports pundit though as Wycombe Wanderers took his submission more seriously.
The League One side are already very happy with their current boss but they did come back with an offer for Redknapp.
Wycombe's response read: "Dear Mr. Redknapp, thank you for your application for the managerial position here at Wycombe Wanderers.

"We have carefully considered your submission but due to the overwhelming success of last season's promotion-winning side, we feel it would be unfair to remove our current manager, Gareth Ainsworth, from the post.
"However, we would love to offer you an initial three-month contract as one of our first-team coaches with the option, at the end of the trial period, to extend.
"We believe that a former player of your calibre would be a great addition to our coaching team in preparation for a new season in League One.
"Congratulations, thank you for your interest and the club secretary will be in touch in due course."Live sport on TV in Ireland this weekend – Football, GAA, Rugby – June 19th-21st
