Jon Walters may have been the hero on the pitch, but there was only one man stealing all the headlines after the game.
Thanks to the our 2-0 win we got to see the inside of a celebrating Ireland dressing room once again, and while most of the attention was on the players, it was another man who stole the show.
Dick Redmond is the Ireland team kitman, and the 60-year-old dressed up as superman for the post game celebrations as the world rejoiced in his bonkers stunt,
