Ireland and Poland can expect Uefa charges over Sunday’s Aviva qualifier

Martin O'Neill's side received five yellow cards

Both Ireland and Poland are facing Uefa charges over the goings-on at the Aviva Stadium on Sunday night.

Five Irish players were shown yellow cards during the Euro 2016 Group D qualifier which ought to result in an improper conduct charge.

Wes Hoolahan, John O’Shea, Seamus Coleman, Marc Wilson and James McCarthy were all booked by referee Jonas Eriksson during the 1-1 draw.

That means that Ireland could face either a fine or a warning over future conduct.

Meanwhile Poland are being charged over their fan behaviour at the Aviva, where a number of supporters were alleged to be throwing missiles.
