We could watch this all day.
Burnley were beating Manchester City in their FA Cup third-round clash for a while, but then Ilkay Gundogan and Sergio Aguero decided to show up.
John Stones’ blunder had gifted Ashley Barnes with the opener at the Etihad Stadium going into the break, but Gundogan and Aguero established a near telepathic understanding in the second-half, one which would leave most defenders utterly helpless.
For the equaliser, Gundogan’s initiative and quick thinking unleashed Aguero from a quickly-taken free-kick, the striker firing the ball past Nick Pope to restore parity.

While it was an impressive piece of play, the best was to come just two minutes later. After picking up the ball around 30 yards out, Aguero found Gundogan with an incisive pass. Continuing his run beyond Burnley’s back-line, Aguero was fed by the German with the most sumptuous and perfectly-executed backheel.
Using the pace of the ball, Aguero shimmied to ghost past Pope and slot the ball into the empty net to make it 2-1. Leroy Sane and Bernardo Silva also scored to put the tie to bed. It was a valiant effort from Sean Dyche’s Burnley but, in the end, the utter quality and craft of City’s attackers shone through.

Even if you don’t support them, you have to sit back and appreciate Aguero and Gundogan’s contributions. It’s no wonder Pep Guardiola gave Gundogan a massive hug after the midfielder was substituted off.
