John O’Shea though does not get his place back. The only man to lose out is Stephen Ward as O’Neill goes for more attacking impetus with goal-scoring hero Robbie Brady deployed at left back.
With the aggregate score at 1-1, Ireland with a crucial (so far) away goal, it is the Republic’s to lose.
