Your move, Jose.

Even with the lack of Champions League football on offer at Manchester United next season, Old Trafford will be a popular destination among footballers due to the high-profile appointment of Jose Mourinho.

One such player who has seemingly made no secret of his desire to join the Red Devils this summer is none other than Borussia Dortmund star Henrikh Mkhitaryan.

Mkhitaryan’s agent Mino Raiola has explicitly claimed that his client wants to move to United in this transfer window which has put the decision in the hands of Mourinho.

“He wants to go to Manchester United and we are still trying to resolve the situation,” Raiola said.

“We are still talking to Dortmund. We are trying to be reasonable. They are aware that Micki wants to leave now.”

Mkhitaryan, 27, still has a year remaining on his contract with the Bundesliga outfit but wants to be a part of Mourinho’s latest project.

The Armenia international has been a revelation in recent seasons at the Westfalenstadion, scoring 11 and setting up 20 in last season’s runner-up finish under Thomas Tuchel.

His versatility and proficiency on the right side of midfield would make him a popular acquisition due to the scarcity of options in that position currently at Old Trafford.

Plus, he’s got a great name on him.
