On top of all of that, an inquiry into the Iraq war has produced some damning verdicts in the Chilcot report. In the sporting world though, former paralympian Oscar Pistorius and footballing superstar Lionel Messi stole the headlines. But what was seen as a light sentence for the South African didn’t go down too well. Nor did Messi looking like he’ll avoid jail time.
