Same old England.
There is no hiding from the fact that Roy Hodgson’s side have been utterly woeful.
A below-par Euro 2016 in which England scraped through the group stages culminated in one of the worst results in the country’s footballing history.
And that’s saying a f*****g lot.
England were outplayed, outrun and outfoxed by European footballing minnows Iceland who have a population the same as Leicester.
The tiny island nation were simply better organised and more well-drilled than England with their embarrassment of footballing talent.
But former England captain Rio Ferdinand said we should have seen this latest and greatest debacle coming a mile off.
Despite Hodgson’s side’s 100 per cent record in qualifying, he came into the tournament without a nailed on, best starting XI.
What a sporting acheivement for iceland. But Gone into a tournament not knowing the best team. Did the shape suit our players?? Not for me.

We need an identity….said it many times. Im gobsmacked

Ferdinand wasn’t the only one, and many fans were sticking the boot in on England’s tactics throughout the tournament…
Roy Hodgson is as gutless with his resignation as he is with his team selection and tactics! #Disgrace #Clueless

Hodgson owed us more than that. What tactics did he employ against Iceland? Why did we lose to Iceland? Why were we so pathetic? Answers!

Tweeted about the sacking of Hodgson back in 2013 and people were still defending him. They can't defend him now. Poor tactics. #ENG

Two years to prepare and Hodgson made panic decision after panic decision. Squad, team, tactics – zero masterplan. What's our identity?

At least Capello had some sort of tactics, Hodgson is just straight up clueless.

Roy Hodgson's half-time team tactics:
Launch it long.
Average height of Iceland starting XI:
6'3".
