Last night wasn’t a good night for Big Sam.
The Daily Telegraph performed a sting operation on the England manager, in which he was filmed talking about potential ways to circumnavigate FA rules surrounding third party ownership of players.
Big Sam covered his back by constantly saying “I’ll have to check with the FA” when talking about the subject, but when you’re caught talking in this manner about rules put in place by your own employer, you could be in trouble.
Twitter has, predictably, reacted with glee and mirth, and with very, very little sympathy towards the England boss.
Here’s some of the best reaction from Twitter.
The Telegraph broke the story with their investigation…

The question was soon raised: Can Big Sam keep his job?

If he is to be sacked, he’ll leave with an unprecedented record…

Some people weren’t surprised by the allegations…
#SamAllardyce sacking Sam is like the BBC sacking Clarkson. His comments were controversial but nothing new to those in the game.

Perhaps after sleeping on it, it’d all have blown over? Nope…

At the time of writing. The FA have requested a full transcript of the footage from the Telegraph, and it remains unclear whether Allardyce can keep his job…
