An interesting move for him.
Fabio is back in the Premier League.
The Brazilian defender, who spent six years at Manchester United, has signed for Middlesbrough on a two-year deal.
Fabio had been with Cardiff City since January 2014, making 68 appearances as the Welsh side were relegated from the Premier League and struggled for the past two seasons in the Championship.
Fabio was in the last year of his contract with Cardiff and has joined Middlesbrough for an undisclosed fee, becoming their eighth summer signing.
The 26-year-old made 56 appearances for United across five seasons and was part of the side that won the Premier League title in 2011. He also started the Champions League final against Barcelona in 2011.
Fabio’s twin brother Rafael is currently playing for French side Lyon.
