With the transfer window open for the month, the rumour mill is in full flow.
Manchester United’s lack of form has been one of the main stories of recent weeks, so it’s unsurprising to see them linked with some reinforcements.
A bid for Chelsea’s Eden Hazard was perhaps a move that few expected them to be making, yet – according to The Daily Star – United are plotting a €87m [£65m] swoop for the Belgian after being told that Gareth Bale won’t be swapping the Bernabeu for Old Trafford any time soon.
Unsurprisingly, there weren’t many taking the story seriously:

Especially given United’s current standing in the English game…

It was also pointed out that the reigning PFA Player of the Year still trailed a player that hasn’t kicked a ball for United since September in the goal scoring charts.

But despite his obvious dip in form, some United supporters would clearly love to see him arrive at Old Trafford.
If you don't rate Hazard just because of one season, I doubt ur football knowledge. Best player in the league on form. Would love him at Utd

Some Chelsea supporters remain confident that their club would reject a bid for the Belgian, even if it did total £65m.

Although some seem happy for Hazard and a couple of his team-mates to be shown the door.
Hazard, Costa and Fabregas can all leave my club.

If Hazard is going to leave Chelsea, it’s unlikely it will be this month. Even if he does, it’s unlikely that it’ll be just United that make a move for him. Reports on Friday also suggest that Zinedine Zidane has identified him as a player he’d like to bring to Real Madrid in summer.
