Roberto Martinez has been sacked by Everton, Sky Sports claim.
The Spaniard has been under mounting pressure at the club following a string of poor results , the latest being the 3-0 defeat to Sunderland on Wednesday evening.
The news comes within hours of Frank De Boer’s departure from Dutch club Ajax.
De Boer was quickly linked with a move to Goodison Park and developments since then only add further fuel to the fire.
Martinez, who joined the club after winning the FA Cup with Wigan Athletic (and getting the Latics relegated to the Championship) three years ago, leaves Everton in 12th place in the Premier League.
