Not quite as good as their Seamus Coleman one
After losing 2-1 to Crystal Palace this afternoon, Chelsea’s hunt for defensive re-enforcements will probably step up a gear over the weekend.
But Everton fans don’t want to hear a word about any possible sale of their promising player John Stones despite the England man handing in a transfer request last week.
The U21 international has had several bids refused by his club from the Premier League champions, one rumoured to be over £30million.
And to honour the steely reserve shown by Bill Kenwright and his board not to fall for Chelsea’s filty lucre, the Toffees’ supporters have unveiled a wonderful chant ahead of tonight’s game with Tottenham.
It’s to the tune of the Beatles ‘Money Can’t Buy me Love’ and the lyrics go something like this:
“Martinez said he’s not for sale and I am satisfied.
Chelsea want those diamond rings that money just can’t buy.
I don’t care too much for money, money can’t buy you Stones.
Can’t buy me Stoooooones, money can’t buy you Stones.
Can’t buy me Stoooooones, money can’t buy you Stones.”

It definitely makers life easier when you have the lyrics but even Lennon./McCartney would be impressed with this re-working.
But as we said, it’s no Seamus Coleman chant
