Diego Maradona has reportedly been admitted to hospital in Argentina after he was found to have internal bleeding in his stomach.

He will undergo an endoscopy at the Olivos clinic in Argentina before he can return to Mexico, where he was due to go tomorrow for Dorados’ next match against Celaya on Sunday.

According to journalist Jorge Rial, Maradona is in the company of his family at the clinic.

Maradona fell ill during the 2018 World Cup, when Marcos Rojo’s last minute winner against Nigeria caused his blood pressure to rise, making him unable to climb the stairs in the stadium.

He is now head coach at Mexican side Dorados de Sinaloa, who currently sit seventh in the second tier.

He was recently seen slurring his words during a TV interview with two journalists, which caused concern among viewer regarding his health.
