Delaying the inevitable
Maybe or maybe not, but either way it seems that David de Gea will be at Old Trafford tomorrow to pick up his new gear for the season ahead.
Whether he will actually get to use any of that gear is debatable, but perhaps Manchester United fans can take some comfort in his latest pronouncements about his on-off transfer to Real Madrid.
Spanish TV’s ‘Cuatro’ tracked down the player to his house last night at 2am, and it seems that neither the goalkeeper or his girlfriend are preparing to ‘vamos’ to Real Madrid just quite yet.
He was asked about possible plans to join Rafa Benitez and co but had a pretty flat answer for the reporter,
‘Real Madrid? I have to go back to Manchester for the pre-season’
Any deal for de Gea is said to be closely linked to Manchester United’s pursuit of Sergio Ramos.
