Cristiano Ronaldo reveals he barely spoke to two Manchester United legends while at the club

Different circles

We can’t say we’re surprised Paul Scholes and Cristiano Ronaldo ran in different circles.

In fact, judging by their public persona’s, it’s difficult to think of two more contrasting individuals.

They were teammates for six years at Manchester United though, so you’d imagine Ronaldo would’ve had to speak with Scholes and Ryan Giggs quite often, however, you’d be wrong.GettyImages-73200045The Real Madrid forward revealed that, during United’s successful Champions League winning campaign, in 2007/08, he barely spoke with the pair.

Ronaldo made the comments in a press conference ahead of Madrid’s Champions League last-16 tie against Roma on Wednesday night.

There’s no suggestion that Ronaldo bares any ill sentiment towards the United legends, just that they weren’t friends.

The topic seemed to be raised when Ronaldo was asked about the friendly relationship between Barcelona trio Lionel Messi, Luis Suarez and Neymar. It appears Ronaldo isn’t as social with his teammates Gareth Bale and Karim Benzema, and perfectly comfortable with that.
