Leicester City’s new kit isn’t hugely different from this season’s version, but there are a couple of subtle-yet-important differences.
The 2016/17 effort has been unveiled, keeping the understated all-blue look but adding a full ‘traditional yet stylised’ collar.
But the biggest change is the addition of gold into the mix – signifying the Foxes’ status as champions of England.
The new design has been unveiled with a promo photo including four of the key men in Leicester’s run to the title, but many have observed that neither Riyad Mahrez nor N’Golo Kante has been chosen to model the kit.
Claudio Ranieri may be confident of keeping the pair in the East Midlands, but that hasn’t stopped people speculating.
Interesting that N'Golo Kante and Riyad Mahrez were not chosen to promote next season's Leicester kit #LCFC pic.twitter.com/EV4tmo9huu

Leicester fans will hope there’s nothing to it, and the choice of players can certainly be explained away without resorting to the phrase ‘scared of them leaving’.
Jamie Vardy is Football Writers’ Player of the Year, Wes Morgan is captain, Kasper Schmeichel is there to model the goalkeeper kit and – as cynical as it sounds – Shinji Okazaki will help the club continue to market itself in the Far East.
With a bit of luck, Mahrez and Kante will be the faces of the club’s Champions League kit launch later this summer, and we’ll all wonder what we were all so worried about.
