We honestly thought we knew who Brendan Rodgers first transfer at Celtic would be.
The Irishman is getting his first look at his squad and no doubt the Antrim man already has transfer targets in mind.
The former Liverpool manager was unveiled as the new Bhoys manager on Monday, and thoughts immediately turned to who might be his first signing at Parkhead.

Unfortunately, it seems as if Joe Allen, and his chickens, won’t be heading north just yet, as a Dutch striker may be the first man through the door next month.
According to reports in Scotland, Wout Weghorst was close to signing for the Scottish Premiership champions in January but the move broke down over personal terms.
However, a move for the striker is set to be reignited next month, and the club is confident of getting the deal done for around £2million.
The Heracles striker is a former Holland Under-21 international, and at six-foot-five, would be well-suited to the rigours of life in the Scottish top flight.

The move would likely mean an end to Anthony Stokes’ time at Celtic, with the Dubliner set for a move away from the club after a successful loan spell at Hibernian.
It would however, following on from Pierre van Hooijdonk and Jan Vennegoor of Hesselink, continue the proud Celtic tradition of signing giant Dutch strikers.
