Alfredo Morelos will face no retrospective punishment for his behaviour against Celtic last weekend.
Morelos was involved in several incidents during Rangers’ 1-0 victory over their Old Firm arch-rivals but the Scottish Football Association have decided to take no further action against the striker because the clashes had been seen in their entirety by match referee John Beaton.
The Rangers forward appeared to kick Celtic captain Scott Brown below the belt, caught Anthony Ralston in the back with his studs and forced Ryan Christie to double over in pain after grabbing out at a sensitive part of his body.
The match officials claim to have seen all incidents and after Compliance officer Clare Whyte re-watched them, she did not see enough evidence to suggest that Morelos deserved a ban.
Morelos:
-Kicks brown in the goolies
-Stands studs down on Ralston's back
-Grabs Christie in the gooliesCommited 4 fouls in open play aswell.
Beaton done his hardest to not book him and succeeded. Hunbelievable. pic.twitter.com/PAE3XI72EF

A suspension would have meant that the Colombian would have missed upcoming games against Cowdenbeath in the Scottish Cup and Kilmarnock in the league.
News of the SFA’s finding, which emerged on Thursday afternoon, has provoked a furious reaction from Celtic supporters who are clearly still incensed by the weekend’s result at Ibrox.
If Celtic ever needed motivation to win this league then its this Morelos review outcome. For no punishment to occur is blatant skullduggery

Morelos being let off with four separate violent conduct incidents shows the mentality of the people running our game. And watch Celtic do nothing about it as usual.

The game is up in Scotland. The #SFA have failed to discipline #Morelos for his 4 sending of offences which the referee chose to not even speak to him during the game. The message is "it's open season on #Celtic players". #SPFL farce

The SFA are sending a message out that it’s alright to kick out, which Morelos has done more than once, and get off with it. Whilst other players have served bans, some of a few games, for much less. https://t.co/9pf0TALT8k

SFA….Morelos….no action….unbelievable 😳

What the Huns were REALLY celebrating last Saturday was a return to the days that they can kick/stamp/elbow/assault the opposition off the pitch, while facing no consequences whatsoever. The look of disbelief on Morelos' face at full time told its own story.

At least the SFA are consistent Morelos can kick who he likes . https://t.co/rmTHU2GL1V
