The deal is yet to be signed, but an agreement has been reached between Saka’s representatives and the club. The package could see the young wide player earn in excess of £10m per season and run until the summer of 2028.
Saka has made 162 appearances in all competitions for the Gunners since breaking through into the first team under former manager Unai Emery back in 2018. In that time, he has registered an impressive tally of 33 goals and 37 assists.
It is this consistency in performance which has also seen the Hale End academy graduate go on to represent England at two international tournaments, amassing 24 caps and seven goals already at such an early stage in his career.

Possessing both supreme athleticism and innate technical ability, the performances of Saka have seen him earn the constant praise of club manager Mikel Arteta, who states that the winger is “not usual for his age”.
The Arsenal boss has also applauded Saka’s ability to move past his Euro 2020 Final heartbreak, in which he missed a decisive spot-kick against Italy. Arteta has said that “when that happened to Bukayo it happened for a reason and he learned so much and matured so much which is why he’s having the season he’s having”.
Arsenal fans, who are enjoying a first credible title challenge in almost two decades, will be delighted with the reports that Saka’s renewal is close to completion, particularly given his spectacular contribution in the league this season of nine goals and eight assists.

Gabriel Martinelli signed a new long-term deal earlier this month.[/caption]
Having recently announced a new deal for their dynamic Brazilian attacker Gabriel Martinelli, Saka’s re-signing shows how keen players are to remain a part of Mikel Arteta’s impressive rebuild project.
Attention in North London will now turn to French centre half William Saliba, who like Saka currently finds himself out of contract in the summer of 2024. However, following the renewals of both Martinelli and Saka, technical director Edu Gaspar will be hopeful of securing the commanding defender’s services on another long-term deal.
