He's come out with another gem this morning though, finding fairly cringeworthy way to describe Steven Gerrard's legacy at Liverpool.
Rodgers decided to bring Liverpool's politicians into things for some reason, saying "I asked a lot of my staff to describe Steven in one word and I’d use the word ‘Liverpool’.
"What Steven has given to this city, politicians haven’t given. He’s a wonderful symbol for the people and he’s very much about looking after his people."
I'm sure there are plenty of Everton fans who would disagree with you there Brendan.
